Mr. G and I also celebrated our 1st anniversary with a trip to Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara.

{yes, we ate the cake...it wasn't very good}
Once we got back from our trip it was time for the big ultrasound to find out the gender! It's a good thing we had the trip to preoccupy my mind because the suspense was KILLING me!
Don't even get me started on how excited Mr. G and my dad are! I come from a family of all girls and as soon as my dad heard the news he started jumping up and down and screaming and yelling! We did a big reveal dinner at our house on the evening after the ultrasound. I got 2 balloons, 1 pink and 1 blue. I had each grandma choose which balloon she wanted to pop and they both popped at the same time. Each balloon had a paper inside that said "IT'S A BOY" so they both found out at the same time. So much fun! I'm glad we choose to keep it a secret until the whole family was together. We didn't announce the pregnancy that way, but I had always wished we did. This was a nice way to have everyone find out at the same time.
Finally, school has started for both Mr. G and myself and with the start of school comes the start of football season! Life is quite busy right now, but I'm holding down the fort while Mr. G spends his days (and evenings) with the football team.
I'm just over 23 weeks now and I feel like time is flying by. I can't believe I'm over the half way point and that our little one will be here so soon. I'm definitely looking pregnant these days, but still feeling really good. I'm feeling him kicking several times a day and it is such a weird but awesome feeling. Mr. G has felt him a few times, but nothing too strong yet. I still have days of feeling completely in shock that I have a person growing inside of me, but it's very real these days and I get more and more excited every day. I can't wait to meet our little guy!
