So I feel like screaming from the roof-tops but...MY DRESS IS HERE, MY DRESS IS HERE! I tried her on today for the first time since October and I'm more in love than I was before. I didn't want to take her off, nor did I want to leave her at the shop. She's gorgeous and I can't wait until she fits me even better! No hem is needed, just taken in a bit on the sides and taken in (a lot) on the top...thank my mom for my shortcomings! I can't blame her too much...she did spring for the amazing veil I'm wearing below!

Most of my family is in town for my shower tomorrow so they were all able to join me today and we made an entire day out of it! First was the appointment at the dress shop, then lunch at the always yummy 33rd Street Bistro, followed by bridesmaid shoe shopping with my sisters, onto invitation stamping and sealing with the whole fam, and finally topped off with taco dinner made by mom! Whew...I'm tired! Must get my beauty sleep for tomorrow! ;) I'll leave you with the eye candy...

PS...we decided against the bolero. I still like it but I thought it was a bit much...oh well...I did get the veil! :)

I'm here...I swear!

So I've been MIA lately and I must say I'm sorry! Life has taken me by the horns and thrown me around a bit, but I'm here and have plenty of updates for you!

First custom clutch has arrived! Etsy seller Shakuyaku was fabulous to work with and I am IN LOVE with my clutch! I can't wait to use it! The green lining matches my shoes perfectly!

P.S. Did I mention my dress is here?!?! I get to try her on on Saturday!!!!

The first "real" celebration!

Yesterday was the first of my showers and I am left to clean up the remnants of my gifts this morning!

This shower was thrown by my Future Mother-in-Law and her friends. There were about 30 people there when all was said and done! The ladies held the shower in the beautiful yard at one of their houses. They had lots of yummy little desserts for everyone to nibble on as well. We played a game that was sort of like Family Fued with bridal questions and we also played a game of bridal shower word scramble. All in all, it was a perfect day and everyone had a good time. Many of the guests were people I had not met before so it was nice to get to know more people on my ever-growing guest list.

My china pattern...Vera Wang Grosgrain

And of course the awkward lingerie shot...

Our first gifts to be delivered to the house arrived today! Sooo exciting! I got home from work and 2 large Crate & Barrel boxes were waiting for me on the was all I could do to wait for Mr. G to get home to open them! My first shower is this weekend which is why I didn't feel too guilty about opening them. They did turn out to be from 2 guests who will be at my shower this weekend.

6 margarita glasses (how fitting for today?)

A set of 3 candle holders

Let the thank you note writing begin!

Look at this!

After some more browsing for pictures with the bolero...I discovered Here's a peek at the gorgeous bride...

She has lace on the top of her dress (it's Paloma Blanca like mine!), she's wearing a bolero, AND she's wearing a lace edge veil! What do you think?? Too much?
