Wedding Recap: Pre-Ceremony

There are soooo many pictures from our ceremony that I decided I needed to break it up into parts...here goes the Pre-Ceremony!
After taking a bunch of pictures at the hotel, us girls piled into our stretch Hummer Limo and headed out to the site of our ceremony and reception.

More canned champagne!

I was hot after taking all those pictures outside...MOH is trying to cool me off with the water bottle!

The girls (even my mom!) had shots...I stuck to my champagne!

We got to the house and I saw my flowergirl for the first time

Then it was time to go to the bedroom to wait for the ceremony to start!

freaking out a bit here...

Almost time to get married!

Kreativ Blogger

So I'm taking a quick break from the wedding recaps because the lovely Nicole over at
Darin & Nicole awarded me the Kreativ Blogger Award!  Thanks for the smile Nicole!  :)

Rules: Post 7 fun facts about yourself and then award 7 more!
  1. I can't live without chapstick!  I have a tube in my desk, in my car, (a few) in my purse, on my nightstand, and next to the sink..ridiculous I know!
  2. I can sing the words to any song that comes on any radio station, but my car prefers country music.
  3. I love to bake and have a lime green Kitchen Aid mixer that doesn't match my kitchen...yet!  (I made super cute football cupcakes for a party last weekend!)
  4. I love, love my job as a teacher, but secretly wish I could be wedding planner all the time...I think my husband would die if I said I was going to do this full time!
  5. I absolutely love...as gross as this sounds...but I love fast food from Taco Bell (for those on the west coast)!  I know it's disgusting to even me, but something about it just tastes so good!
  6. I have an entire cupboard in my house devoted just to candles...
  7. My life revolves around football season...middle of August to middle of November

Now, onto my awards...these blogs are some of my favorites.  Hopefully they're still following me over here at my new site!

Enjoy!

Wedding Recap: First Look

After much discussion and persuasion on my part, Mr. G and I agreed to see each other and take most of our pictures before the ceremony.  We decided that because our ceremony ad reception were all in the same place, we didn't want to have to rush our pictures and we didn't want our guests to wait around for dinner(and possibly get drunk!) for 2 hours while we took our pictures.  I am SO glad we did the first look and our pictures before!  I honestly think it was one of the best decisions that we made.  I know I was so much more relaxed after having already seen him and it also gave us some moments alone before the craziness of the ceremony and our 250 guests!  We got some amazing pictures and I love, love the pictures of our first look...even if I am a crying mess!

MOH tring to stop the tears and I wait for Mr. G

Mr. G comes around the corner

Then we headed outside for more photos

I wish I could post these pictures larger!  They are sooo much better that way!

Wedding Recap: Bride gets Dressed

After all the girls were ready, it was finally time for me to get into my dress. I can't explain the feeling of having all your best friends and family with you all day to help you get ready for this huge moment in your life. I was so overwhelemed with happiness, love, and every other emotion in between. I didn't want the day to end! Putting my dress on was one of the best moments of the day except for of course marrying the man of my dreams!

We're laughing at how much padding was added to my dress!

LOVE this one!

As soon as my sister put my veil on the tears started flowing, but thenkfully the girls were there to make me laugh!

Wedding Recap: Guys Get Ready

As us girls were getting ready in our 2 rooms, the guys were getting ready in the honeymoon suite.  I was quite nervous about them being in there and "messing it up" before we came back to that room later that night.  I gave very specific instructions to Mr. G that everything HAD to be cleaned up because I wasn't going to be happy coming into a room that they had made a mess in earlier!  He did a great job and I'm so glad pur photographer was there to take pictures in the room because these are the only pictures I have of our honeymoon suite!

The view out this window was of the gorgeous bridge that you'll see in other pictures.  Our room was an amazing suite with a fabulous view of the bridge and the river!

Mr. G and Groomsman B were up until 4 am...there is quite the hilarious story to go along...they needed some 5 hour energy to make it through the day!

Mr. G's nephews and ringbearers decorating the bed with rose petals...so sweet!

Wedding Recap: Girls Get Ready

Sadly, I still have not received my CD of professional pictures.  As with most of my other pictures, these are from Julie and Kelly!
Just after getting my hair done!

MOH sneaks out to practice

Make up

My bouquet arrives!

Some of my accessories

My mom made each of the girls a jewelry pouch as part of their gift and she surprised me with one for myself!  She also put my Great Grandmother's (I'm named after her and I never met her) wedding ring inside...definitely made me cry!

THE DRESS!

I had such a fun morning getting ready in the hotel with all my girls...my mom, my sisters, and all my best friends!  We laughed and we cried, but it was so much fun!
